What is CrossFit in Greensboro, n.C.

The definition of CrossFit is constantly varied, functional movements executed at high-intensity. Simply put, it's working really hard through movements that consist in everyday life with a group of really awesome people! 
Constantly Varied :
We are always changing what we do. Our bodies adapt, therefore routine is the enemy!  Variance applies in many ways in CrossFit. Maybe it's the coupling of the movements, the structure of the workout, the time domain. Each workout has an intended stimulus that we are looking for.  We take a lot of pride in our programming at CFV. The goal being to provide a program that consists of workouts spread across different energy systems and mixed modality exercises. 
Functional movements :
Our goal is to prepare our athletes for life’s obstacles. We do that by using training that mimics life – running, jumping, throwing, squatting, pulling, pushing, lifting.

High intensity :
High intensity exercise is the most effective way to elicit positive changes in performance and body composition  High intensity, relative to each person, but simply put, is giving it EVERYTHING you got.  It's your shortcut to the good stuff. The protocol is always mechanics, consistency, then intensity. 

CrossFit is for all levels, all shapes, all sizes, all ages. The ability to scale the workout for any level is one of the reasons that the CrossFit program is so successful.  Scalability allows athletes to gauge their progression by measuring the increase in weight/reps or decrease in time in repeated workouts. Scalability allows all athletes to work out together as one community, regardless of fitness level. This also works in both directions. We scale down for newer athletes, injured athletes and whenever necessary. We scale up for athletes who need a more challenging workout in order to achieve optimal results.

Our goal at CrossFit Versatile is to provide our members with a fun path to achieving their health and fitness goals. Getting fit and healthy shouldn’t be boring or monotonous. It should be fun, varied and done with friends! 

You don’t have to be in shape to start! We love introducing people who haven’t exercised in years to what we do. We teach people how to move well, which keeps them injury-free and inspired to continue pursuing their health and fitness goals. We are a community for everyone! Our classes consistent of teenagers, stay-at-home parents, high level executives, world-class elite level athletes, first time exercisers, adaptive athletes and grandparents all working together towards becoming a fitter version of themselves. Our diversity in abilities is what makes the whole thing work so well, and what changes lives by changing perspective.

Our professional coaching staff and community are the most compelling reasons to be part of Versatile, but we take a lot of pride in the quality of what we do! Our team of professional coaches are experts at combining the best results-based training and nutrition principles with a heavy dose of encouragement, accountability, creativity and laughter. The result is a supportive community of individuals who encourage and celebrate each other’s victories. CrossFit Versatile coaches are passionate about learning.
